Top of the mernin' to ye... It's great to get back into the normal routine although this will only last a week as Mimi and Papa are heading to Texas this weekend.
Run- Today is a rest day, I'll take it. I'm thrilled that I'm not that sore after the long run yesterday. Hands are healing nicely, and only the left hand still hurts. Left arm road rash still stinging. As you can imagine, I was very careful yesterday, considering the fall and slick roads (rain). Two weeks until my second half mary. I'm looking forward to it and meeting up with my Twitter buds.
I'm in that awkward place of debating the merits of training for a full marathon. I set a goal nearly a year ago that I would run a marathon before 40, and there are 4 years remaining. It would be worth it to run one marathon and take it easy (comparatively) from then on. I'd also like to do at least one triathlon this year, or maybe a duathlon instead. I am really wishing I had caught on to running ten years ago!
Training Schedule is as follows:
Mon- Rest
Tues- 3 miles easy
Wed- 6 miles easy
Thurs- 3 miles easy
Fri- Rest
Sat- 9 long
Sun- Xtrain 30 minutes
Shows on the chopping block- Tried Doctor Who (the new one), Dexter, and V and have determined they aren't for me. :)

Howdy everyone! Hope you had a glorious holiday weekend. We had fun despite having to cancel a fun trip to my aunt's cabin down south. I'll be heading down to see Mom next weekend instead.
Run- I ran 13.1 miles this morning in Rockwall and felt good. I ran an average of 12:30 minute miles, following the long slow distance/McMillan recommended pace. Mentally, this run was not nearly as fun as my half marathon a month ago, but I didn't have a "I want my mommy" moment in mile 11 either, lol. Physically, the run seemed to produce the same amount of tiredness/pain, slightly easier this time. I tried out my running skirt for the first time and absolutely love it. Overall, had a good time and am sufficiently tired and ready for a shower and a nap.
The Legend of Neil- My friend Sean introduced me to another web series a while back, but I hadn't had a chance to watch until last night. I ended up watching season 1 and half of season 2 in one sitting! If you ever played The Legend of Zelda on the original Nintendo and have a quirky sense of humor, you will adore this show. There's some offensive content and plenty of cussing, so don't watch with the kids around. The creator of the show plays Zaboo on The Guild, by the way (love him). The premise is Neil gets sucked into the game after playing drunkenly (and a few other things I can't say here) and has to play all the levels. Lots of great game moments. Felicia Day plays the fairy, also of The Guild.
Christmas Deco- looking forward to putting out all the Christmas decorations this week! We may actually put lights on the house this year. I found some 'cool white' LED lights that will be a perfect addition to our net lights for the shrubs. I need to either make or buy a new wreath for the door, as the beautiful wreath Mom made us 6 years ago essentially died last year. Vicki and Warren will be in town Sunday so I'd like the house to be festive for their visit.
